Oh yeah, P.J. Fleck can get anyone hyped up to play some football.
The Golden Gophers are entering their third season with Fleck at the helm, and the results are trending up after a positive 2018 season. Minnesota finished 7-6 with a Quick Lanes Bowl victory in Fleck’s second season after going 5-7 in his inaugural season. Now, the Gophers will look to reach eight or more wins for the first time since going 9-4 in 2016.
Beyond that, Minnesota is looking for its first trip to the B1G Championship Game since the conference split into two divisions in 2011. Northwestern won the B1G West in 2018, but the division should be wide open heading into this season. It is definitely a tall task, but don’t count the Gophers out of it.

As the team continues preparation for the season opener against South Dakota State, the Big Ten Network put a microphone on Fleck for one practice. Needless to say, Fleck’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious and will get anyone with a pulse ready for football:
