Minnesota scored a big win over the weekend, defeating Purdue 41-10. The victory put the Gophers on the cusp of bowl eligibility, as they sit just one win away from the postseason at 5-5.
It was one of the few times in B1G play this season that all things were clicking for Minnesota. Now, P.J. Fleck and Co. will shift their focus to the final two weeks of the season, including next week’s bout with West champion Northwestern.
During his weekly press conference, Fleck talked about the importance of not getting to high after the Purdue win. While it was a huge victory, the team needs to continue to move forward.
He also talked about Senior Day and the significance for several Golden Gophers playing in their final home game. Here’s what Fleck had to say on Tuesday:
"If we hang emotions on that one result, then we're not teaching them the right way to do things." -Coach Fleck, on the team's reaction to the win over Purdue.

"Those guys had the choice to leave or stay, and they stayed. They rowed the boat." -Fleck, on the impact the seniors have made on the foundation of the team.

"Row the Boat. Ski U Mah. Go Gophers."
