247Sports analyst weighs in on Malachi Coleman's commitment to Nebraska football
Andrew Ivins of 247Sports really likes Nebraska’s latest commitment from the class of 2023 in Malachi Coleman. He talked it about with Connor Petagna.
Coleman is listed as a 4-star ATH per the 247Sports Composite. He picked the Huskers over Colorado State, Florida State, Georgia, and Iowa. Coleman is the No. 5 ATH and best-ranked player from his home state of Nebraska.
There is some uncertainty within the football program at the moment. Coleman picked Nebraska even though it’s not confirmed that Mickey Joseph will be hired after his stint as interim HC.
Ivins thinks that whether it’s Joseph or someone else that gets hired, one of their top priorities should be keeping Coleman committed.
“I think Malachi Coleman is a huge get,” said Ivins. “It would have been a huge get for Scott Frost.”I think whoever is hired, or if Mickey Joseph drops the interim tag, priority No. 1 will be to keep Malachi Coleman committed, get him across the finish line.”
