Adrian Martinez opens up on relationship with ex-Nebraska QB coach Mario Verduzco
Change is inevitable, but sometimes hard.
Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost executed what could only be called a near complete upheaval of the Huskers offensive coaching staff early last week.
Along with offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Matt Lubick, offensive line coach Greg Austin, running backs coach Ryan Held, quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco was also let go.
For Huskers quarterback Adrian Martinez, that was tough news to hear. The junior signal-caller said on Monday that while he and the program will move on, he will continue to maintain a relationship with Verduzco.

Verduzco is credited for recruiting Martinez, along with Logan Smothers and Heinrich Haarberg. He also recruited 2022 quarterback commit Richard Torres.
The Nebraska season has been full of disappointments, and every near-miss loss to a top-10 team has done nothing but fuel frustration and calls for change.
Nebraska heads to Madison to take on No. 19 Wisconsin on Saturday, Nov. 20 with a 2:30 PM kickoff scheduled. They finish their season hosting No. 18 Iowa on Friday, Nov. 26.
