Nebraska’s 2019 season hasn’t lived up to expectations just yet.

Quarterback Adrian Martinez was supposed to be a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate this year. Nebraska was supposed to win the Big Ten West and maybe push for a B1G title.

However, after two games, none of that seems possible.

Nebraska lost to Colorado last week after owning a 17-0 lead at halftime and coming into this week, will the Huskers be ready to go against a Northern Illinois team that doesn’t garner many headlines?

Martinez said that wouldn’t be an issue:

If Nebraska doesn’t show up against Northern Illinois and falls to 1-2 overall, the Huskers won’t hear the end of it.

The better come ready to play.
