Ameer Abdullah wanted to express how much he is supporting this new era in Nebraska football. Abdullah played for Matt Rhule at the Carolina Panthers in 2021.
Abdullah had 136 yards rushing and 272 yards receiving that season for Carolina. Abdullah vouched not only for the kind of coach Rhule is, but the person the Nebraska HC is as well.
Abdullah played at Nebraska from 2011-2014.
“Had a short stint with Matt Rhule with the Carolina Panthers. Not only are we getting an excellent coach, we’re getting an even better human being. Rhule’s gonna lead the program the right way, the Nebraska way. Join me in pouring all the support into Rhule and this team.”

Hopefully Rhule’s tenure at Nebraska will be a lot better than it was with the Panthers. Rhule had successful stints at Temple and Baylor before leaving for the NFL. Huskers have not had a winning team for quite awhile and will be hoping that Rhule is the man for the job.
