Big Ten Network analyst Joshua Perry gives his takeaways from stop at Nebraska
Big Ten Network is back with its annual stops around the B1G throughout fall camps. On Thursday, it was a stop in Lincoln to take in practice with head coach Scott Frost and Nebraska.
On Friday, BTN analyst Joshua Perry provided his 3 key takeaways from that visit. His first one came at the QB position.
While Perry acknowledged that transfer Casey Thompson looks like the guy for the Huskers, he liked the depth at the position.
“Quarterback position, I think it’s in pretty good hands,” said Perry. “The QB room as a whole actually looks pretty solid.”
As for the defense, Perry believes it is a unit that might be slightly underrated despite key departures from 2021.
“This blackshirts defense I think is really underrated,” Perry said. “They’ve got some dogs on that defense. These guys looked really good.”
As for the mentality of the team, Perry sees a team so far that comes across differently than 2021 when the team lost 9 games.
“This year, energized team and really focused team,” Perry explained. “We’ve got to see it on the field, but it looks like a team right now that has a different mentality.”
