Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class may not be big from a numbers standpoint just yet, but the Huskers have added some nice size to its offensive line.

Monday, the Huskers received a verbal commitment from three-star offensive tackle Alex Conn, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle from Derby, Kansas. He made his announcement via Twitter.

“I am very thankful to God, my parents, family and friends that have always supported and encouraged me,” Conn wrote on Twitter. “I am excited an proud to say that I have committed to play football at Nebraska!!! GBR!!”

Conn is just the fifth player in Nebraska’s 2020 class to commit, but is a great addition for Scott Frost and company. He’s listed as one of the top 10 players out of the state of Kansas and is one of the top 60 offensive tackles this cycle.

With Conn’s commitment, Nebraska has climbed up a few spots in the recruiting rankings to No. 72 nationally and 12th in the B1G. There’s still plenty of time for the Huskers to catch up to the rest of the pack, though.

Conn had eight total offers, choosing Nebraska over Oklahoma State, Arizona, Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State.
