Bill Busch will be ready for the deep Rutgers quarterback room that Nebraska will go up against on Friday.

Busch, who recently became Nebraska’s interim defensive coordinator, will be tasked with preparing his defense for multiple quarterbacks throughout the game. Rutgers will likely feature Evan Simon and Noah Vedral throughout the game. Nebraska will have to be ready for the difference in play styles.

He praised the talent level of Rutgers’ quarterbacks (Via HuskerExtra):

“Doesn’t matter which one we see,” Busch said. “They’re all really good.”

In Week 5, Simon took most of the snaps in the 49-10 loss to Ohio State. Simon passed for 74 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. He completed 10 of 19 attempted passes. Vedral appeared in the game as a runner with 4 carries for a total of 10 yards.

Nebraska is familiar with Vedral, as he played at Nebraska for 2 seasons before transferring to Rutgers. He is currently at his 3rd college stop after spending time at UCF and Nebraska. Busch complimented Vedral on his toughness:

“This is what I know about the Vedral family across the board: That is some tough dudes,” Busch said. “The whole family. (Noah) is the same way. All you know is you don’t want to fight a Vedral.”

Nebraska faces Rutgers Friday at 7 p.m. ET on FS1.
