Maurice Washington’s court case in California is getting set to resume this week.

According to Sam McKewon with the Omaha-World Herald, Washington’s court case stems from two charges of his alleged sharing of a sex video. The alleged incident occurred while he was still in high school with Washington initially charged in February.

Washington appeared in seven games this season for the Cornhuskers and also served two separate one-half suspensions throughout the season. He was dismissed from the team in October and last appeared in action during the Minnesota game.

For his career, Washington has 753 yards rushing and four touchdowns while appearing in 18 games at Nebraska. While Washington is currently not with the team, head coach Scott Frost made it appear that there is a chance he could eventually return to the Cornhuskers. However, it also sounds like it would take a lot on Washington’s part to make that happen.
