Cam Taylor-Britt, the former Nebraska defensive back, had a highlight-reel, one-handed interception of Patrick Mahomes during the Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 2 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the Chiefs in possession with time winding down in the 3rd quarter and trailing 22-17, Mahomes fired a pass toward the right sideline intended for Xavier Worthy. But Taylor-Britt came up with a jaw-dropping pick as the Bengals took over at their own 34.

Here’s video of the incredible interception. This could end up being one of the plays of the year when it’s all said and done:

Taylor-Britt, a 2nd-round selection by the Bengals in 2022, spent 4 years with the Cornhuskers and was a 2-time All-Big Ten honoree in 2020 and 2021. He had 28 tackles, 3.0 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, and 4 passes defensed in 2020, following that up with 51 tackles, 3.0 TFLs, an interception, and 11 pass deflections in 2021.

His interception right in front of Worthy has even more significance, considering the fact that he stated that the rookie wide receiver essentially offered nothing to the Chiefs other than the ability to “run fast”.

Regardless of the final outcome of this game, Taylor-Britt’s interception of Mahomes on Sunday won’t soon be forgotten.
