Casey Thompson got hit a lot when Nebraska played Rutgers. Thompson wishes that the “Tom Brady rule” could have been used in that game per Omaha World-Herald’s Sam McKewon.

Thompson stated that he thinks he was pressured on 20 of Nebraska’s 36 plays in that game. Thompson is referencing that roughing the passer call that went Brady’s way on Sunday.

Brady was sacked by Atlanta Falcons’ DE Grady Jarrett and got the call in a close divisional game on Sunday.

“I wish we had the Tom Brady rule when we played at Rutgers,” said Thompson.

Thompson struggled early against the Scarlet Knights throwing 2 interceptions in the first half, but recovered and had 2 touchdown passes in the second half.

Nebraska went on to win 14-13 thanks to Thompson’s touchdown passes. Mickey Joseph is now 2-1 since taking over for the fired Scott Frost.

Joseph has a chance to earn his third consecutive win against Purdue in Week 7.
