Casey Thompson seen heading to locker room after apparent injury vs. Illinois

Casey Thompson got drilled by a pair of Illinois defenders and had to leave the game. It looked like he was holding his right forearm.

Thompson dropped back to pass and saw the pass rush heading straight for him shortly after he got the snap. Thompson tried to get it to a Nebraska receiver, but the pass was intercepted by Sydney Brown.

Hopefully Thompson will come back into the game soon. He had 1851 yards passing with 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions heading into Week 9.

Thompson has played in every game for the Huskers this season since transferring over from Texas.

The interception eventually led to a Chase Brown touchdown run. Nebraska is 3-4 under Mickey Joseph.

The Huskers will need Thompson if they want to have a chance of upsetting the Fighting Illini.
