Nebraska tight end Chancellor Brewington penned a heartfelt farewell Monday regarding his future. A member of the 2017 recruiting class before transferring to Nebraska, Brewington is off to the NFL Draft.

Brewington made his announcement via social media.

Brewington had 11 catches this season for 100 yards and 1 touchdown for Nebraska. Brewington was a tight end transfer from Northern Arizona before he eventually transferred to Nebraska at the same position.

His biggest year at tight end was as a freshman when he amassed 396 yards and 2 touchdowns. He didn’t have much of an impact as a Cornhusker but that is mainly because the Cornhuskers’ offense at times struggled especially this past year.

It will be interesting to see if he can hook on with an NFL team next year most likely as an undrafted free agent. He has the talent and size for the position, now it’s a matter of him getting with the right team that will use him correctly.
