Details for the contract of new Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos have been released.

On Tuesday, Lee Barfknecht of the Omaha World-Herald tweeted out figures associated with Moos’ contract, detailing some of the specifics. Moos, who was formerly the athletic director at Washington State, was hired to take over at Nebraska on Sunday.

Moos will make a base salary of $1 million per year and will raise by $50,000 each year until it reaches $1.2 million in 2022. The buyout for Moos is $2 million prior to the end of 2018 and will decrease by $500,000 each year.

There are also performance-based raises for Moos, including where Nebraska finishes in the Director’s Cup.

A little over a month ago, Nebraska fired Shawn Eichorst from the position and named Dave Rimington the AD on an interim basis. According to Barfknecht, Moos signed a contract to become the AD for the Huskers on Friday, though the announcement wasn’t made until Sunday.
