Dedrick Mills will work on taking care of the football (literally) all day, every day before Ohio State game
Nebraska got past Illinois 42-38 on Saturday to move to 3-1 overall.
A 3-1 record isn’t perfect and the Huskers haven’t looked perfect this season. One of the imperfections was shown on Saturday when the team committed four turnovers. Quarterback Adrian Martinez didn’t throw an interception, but four fumbles were lost altogether.
One of those fumbles came from running back Dedrick Mills.
What was his response?
To carry a football with him this entire week leading up to the next game:
Dedrick Mills is carrying a football around all week like Darnell Jefferson from The Program. Said it was his idea. Said anybody can try to knock it out if they see him, but "you ain't getting it". #Huskers pic.twitter.com/exF2fD81Vp

This isn’t a unique idea, but it is a fairly humorous and well thought out one. If you carry a football with you 24/7, you should get familiar with it. Fumbles should not happen in a game with this idea.
Of course, anything can happen, but it’s likely that while walking around on campus this week, people will be taking jabs at that football.

On Saturday, Nebraska hosts Ohio State for a night time showdown. Plenty of Buckeyes will be poking at the ball when Mills is carrying it then.
