Deion Sanders made his collegiate head coaching debut at Jackson State in 2020. Since that time, Sanders has been a popular name linked to many head coaching jobs around the country.

One of the latest Power 5 jobs to come open is Nebraska with the firing of Scott Frost early in the 2022 season. And of course, fans and members of the media have begun making a case for Sanders to come to Lincoln.

Sanders’ resumé definitely speaks for itself with an elite NFL pedigree, strong results at Jackson State and an early strong track record of recruiting. Sanders has gone 16-5 at Jackson State and led the Tigers to a conference title and an 11-win season in 2021.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Sanders is on the radar of Trev Alberts and the Huskers. Whether or not that is the case, some people are already making it clear it would be great to see Sanders in Lincoln to try and revive the program.
