Deion Sanders spoke about the upcoming Week 2 matchup with Nebraska on Wednesday. Sanders had some praise for Matt Rhule and what he did at Baylor and Temple.

Colorado and Nebraska met each other plenty of times when they were both in the Big Eight Conference. The rivalry continued when they were in the Big 12 together as well.

Sanders and Rhule have the utmost respect for each other. Coach Prime is fully embracing the rivalry and is very excited for a crack at Rhule’s team.

“I do admire their coach tremendously. What he did at Baylor. I know things didn’t go the way they desired them to at Carolina, but just that opportunity is what some aspire to do. I like him, he’s done a phenomenal job with that team and trying to get them in the right direction. They cross I’s and dot T’s. Trust me they’re not gonna lay down by any means. They’re gonna come in here and be prepared for a dog fight.”

The Buffaloes come into the matchup on a two-game winning streak against the Huskers. However, Nebraska leads the all-time series 49-20.

The game has been chosen as the Big Noon Kickoff game of the week. Kickoff will be at Noon ET on FOX on Saturday.
