Nebraska is having a tough time on a blustery day in Lincoln, but one Cornhusker eclipsed a special milestone against Michigan State.
Running back Devine Ozigbo went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season with a run against the Spartans. The senior back has had a strong career, entering Saturday’s game with 2,072 rushing yards for his career.
Ozigbo is one of 30 Nebraska players to eclipse the 2,000-yard career mark. He is also the first player to rush for 1,000 yards in a season since Ameer Abdullah in 2014.
The Omaha World-Herald shared the announcement of Ozigbo’s accomplishment:
