Dylan Raiola is off to an amazing start in his career at Nebraska, and he has garnered a lot of attention across the country. His favorite quarterback is NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes, as he has many similarities in his looks and his mannerisms on the field.

His play is a huge reason the Cornhuskers are now 3-0 and in the AP Top 25 after the 34-3 win against Northern Iowa on Saturday night. In the game, Raiola threw for 247 yards, 2 touchdowns and had his first career interception.

Despite throwing the interception, Raiola did accomplish an impressive feat that hadn’t been done since former Oregon QB Marcus Mariota was a true freshman.

Raiola has completed at least 70% of his passes in each of his first 3 games and he has completed 73.7% of his passes on the season. That makes him the first true freshman since Mariota to complete at least 70% of his passes in each of his first 3 games.

The expectations are higher in Nebraska than they have been for some time, and Raiola is a big reason why. If Raiola is able to continue his strong play, the Cornhuskers have a chance to get off to an even better start.

The Cornhuskers start B1G play next weekend, as the team hosts Illinois. The game will be next Friday in Lincoln and will be shown on FOX.
