Emmanuel Bandoumel started the first 20 games for Nebraska this season. Unfortunately, he will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a knee injury in the loss to Penn State.

Head coach Fred Hoiberg announced the season-ending nature of the injury on Monday in a statement. Bandoumel is in his first season with the program after transferring in from SMU.

Bandoumel was averaging 8.4 points per game, a mark that ranks 6th on the Huskers in addition to 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and a steal per game. A versatile contributor, Bandoumel ranked second on the team with 31.1 minutes per game.

Best of luck to Bandoumel during the recovery process. We will see how Nebraska makes up for his absence moving forward.
