ESPN came out with its list of college coaches who are considered to be on the hot seat going into 2022. Adam Rittenberg came out with the list, putting a coach from every Power 5 conference and Group of 5 conference on it.

Nebraska’s Scott Frost was the coach from the B1G that made Rittenberg’s list. This comes after a disappointing 2021 season where the Cornhuskers finished the season 3-9 with a zero scoring differential in the B1G. Frost also has a 15-29 record as the head coach of his alma mater.

Things could be looking up for Cornhuskers, however. Frost was able to secure the commitment of transfer and former Texas QB Casey Thompson after Adrian Martinez transferred to Kansas State in early December of 2021.

Nebraska is going to be one of the big teams to watch in the B1G next season as the Cornhuskers will have a new quarterback starting for them in 2022. It’ll be interesting to see how Frost does with his new gunslinger.

Other Power 5 coaches on the list were: Florida State’s Mike Norvell, Texas’ Steve Sarkisian, UCLA’s Chip Kelly, and Auburn’s Bryan Harsin.
