Football isn’t the only thing that looks a lot different in 2020. Nebraska wide receiver Kade Warner looks pretty different, too.

Warner, who recently received a scholarship after spending his first two years as a walk-on with the Huskers, met with the media on Thursday, where he revealed his new look to the world. The redshirt junior is sporting some new facial hair this season, and it’s currently the talk of social media.

This is a look that could’ve fit in back in the 1920s. It may just win an award for best facial hair in the B1G this year, too:

Perhaps the best part about Warner’s look? He doesn’t even think it looks good.

“I don’t think it looks good,” Warner reportedly said, according to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald. “I think it looks funny.”

Indeed, Mr. Warner. Indeed.

Warner has been the talk of Nebraska for the past few days. Earlier this week, his teammate and roommate Austin Allen told reporters that the receiver earned a scholarship. Over the last two seasons, Warner has caught 25 passes for 196 yards and added 4 rushing yards to total 200 yards from scrimmage. He’s one of the most-experienced players at wide receiver for the Huskers, along with sophomore Wan’Dale Robinson.

I think it’s safe to say Warner earned that scholarship for his hard work on the field and not for his facial hair grooming.
