Nebraska is still looking for some depth at quarterback heading into 2022 after the departure of long-time starter Adrian Martinez. One former Florida State QB is now reportedly set for a visit with the Huskers.

According to Arizona recruiting reporter Jordan Hamm, Chubba Purdy will visit Nebraska on January 14. Purdy entered the transfer portal in November and announced late in December that he had received an offer from Nebraska via the portal.

Purdy played sparingly during his 2 seasons with the Seminoles. He finished his time with the program 32-for-58 with 317 yards passing, 4 touchdowns, and an interception. Purdy also recorded 62 yards rushing.

Coming out of high school, Purdy was a 4-star prospect and the No. 7 dual-threat QB prospect in the country for the class of 2020. After a disappointing finish to 2021, Scott Frost is entering another pivotal season with the Huskers. Getting more depth at QB would be a big plus heading into 2022.
