Former Nebraska linebacker Breon Dixon will head to the junior college ranks to continue his football career.

Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald reported that Dixon will transfer to Iowa Western Community College. He will begin attending classes at the school in July.

Dixon appeared in four games for the Huskers in 2018, all on special teams. He decided to leave the program following spring practice.

Dixon is a former four-star recruit and was a member of Nebraska’s 2017 recruiting class. The 6-foot, 220-pound native of Suwanee, Georgia was ranked as a top 300 player in his cycle. He had over two dozen offers out of high school.

It was not mentioned whether or not Dixon plans a return to the Division I ranks after spending time at Iowa Western.
