Ex-Nebraska commit now headed to FIU
Henry Gray, a former four-star member of Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class, has found a new home.
According to Clint Brewster of 247Sports, Gray will be headed to FIU to play college football. This decision comes shortly after the cornerback decided to enter his name in the transfer portal. Gray was an early enrollee at Nebraska but did opted to leave before his first season in Lincoln.
Gray announced his decision to transfer following an “unanticipated family situation.” The Miami native will now be much closer to home, as FIU is located in the area.
Per 247Sports, Gray is a 6-foot, 172-pound cornerback who ranked as the No. 43 player from the state of Florida and was listed as No. 265 overall. He was one of the top commitments in Nebraska’s 2020 class.
Gray committed to Nebraska in December during the Early Signing Period and enrolled a month later. He was part of a class that ranked in the top 20 nationally.
