Ex-Nebraska QB Tristan Gebbia transferring to Pac-12 program
Just a day after true freshman Adrian Martinez was named Nebraska’s starting quarterback for the season opener against Akron, news broke that backup QB Tristan Gebbia would be transferring out of Lincoln.
Gebbia’s decision to transfer was announced on Monday and now, just two days later, the ex-Husker has a landing spot, according to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.
The gunslinger is headed to the Pac-12 and will continue his career at Oregon State.

Gebbia is a California native, so making the move out West isn’t a completely surprising move.
He’ll be eligible in 2019.
Gebbia is a former 4-star pro-style quarterback and was a member of Nebraska’s 2016 recruiting class. In that class, he was ranked as the ninth-best pro-style QB and was a top 300 player, according to 247Sports.
Nebraska opens the season on Saturday at home against Akron.
