News broke on Thursday that Nebraska WR Zavier Betts isn’t a part of the team anymore. Wideout William Nixon has already left via the transfer portal in 2022.

Sean Callahan of Rivals tweeted about the news. Betts was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2020 from Bellevue West High School in Bellevue, Nebraska per the 247Sports Composite. He also had offers from Iowa, Minnesota, and Iowa State.

Betts appeared in 18 games for the Cornhuskers in his 2 years with the team. He had 417 yards receiving with 1 touchdown during his career in Lincoln. Betts is a junior and should have at least 3 years of eligibility left. He started 6 times over 2 years for Nebraska. Betts also had a role as a kick returner.

We’ll see if Betts decides to hit the portal in the coming days with this news coming out.
