It didn’t take Keyshawn Greene long to find a new home to continue his college football career. The former Nebraska commit will be playing closer to home.

On Tuesday night, Greene announced on Twitter that he will be transferring to Florida Atlantic to continue his career. He was a member of the Huskers’ 2020 recruiting class but decided to transfer after spending just a few months in Lincoln.

Greene made his announcement less than a week after entering his name in the NCAA transfer portal. He is a native of Crawfordsville, Florida, so he’ll be returning to his home state to start his college football career.

Nebraska has lost three members from its 2020 recruiting class, which ranked No. 4 in the B1G and No. 20 nationally. In addition to Greene, defensive backs Henry Gray and Jaiden Francois also transferred out of the program before seeing the field in Lincoln.

All three are from Florida and have committed to Group of 5 schools in the state. Greene will be at FAU, while Gray is attending FIU and Francois has joined UCF.

Greene was a 4-star linebacker and ranked as the No. 8 outside linebacker in the 2020 recruiting class. He was also listed as one of the top 150 prospects in the cycle according to 247Sports, coming in at No. 133.
