Brant Banks has made his decision of where he will spend the remaining years of eligibility. The former Nebraska offensive lineman will transfer to Rice to play football for the Owls.

Banks has been been an academic All-B1G honoree in each of the last three seasons. He played in 4 games in the 2020 season and 9 games in the 2021 season. He made his first collegiate start in the season opener at Illinois.

This 2022 season, Banks played on special teams in every game for Nebraska as well as took meaningful snaps in the games against Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Banks was a former 3-star offensive tackle from Houston, Texas in the 2019 recruiting class. He was the 68th-rated offensive tackle and the 113th-rated prospect from the state of Texas, according to 247Sports Composite.

Banks had 18 offers to play Division I football including Baylor, Boston College, California, Missouri, Pittsburgh, and Virginia. He will return to his hometown to play for the Owls.
