Former Nebraska OL Richie Incognito on 'involuntary psychiatric hold' after outburst at gym
Richie Incognito has made headlines a lot in recent years, and they haven’t been very positive most of the time.
On Wednesday, he was involved in another unsavory incident, allegedly one that landed him in an involuntary psychiatric hold.
According to a report, the Boca Raton Police Department responded to a disturbance involving Incognito that took place at a Lifetime Fitness this morning:
Boca Raton Police Dept. confirmed free-agent guard Richie Incognito remains on an involuntary psychiatric hold — a provision of Florida’s Baker Act — after a disturbance at Lifetime Fitness this morning (as @TMZ reported). Was detained, not arrested. Police investigating.

It’s important to note that Incognito wasn’t arrested, but it sounds like there was a very serious incident involving the former Pro Bowl guard.
Incognito played for the Buffalo Bills last season and made the Pro Bowl, but is currently a free agent. It remains to be seen if he’ll land a new job after this latest incident.
