Former Nebraska QB Chubba Purdy is on the move after two seasons with the Cornhuskers. Now, he’ll head west for a new destination in 2024.

Originally a 4-star quarterback out of Arizona, Purdy — the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy — began his career with two seasons at Florida State. He saw limited playing time backing up Jordan Travis and transferred to Nebraska ahead of the 2022 season.

Purdy would appear in 12 total games across the 2022-23 seasons with 4 starts, including starting the last 2 games of the 2023 season. However, he never carved out a key role with the Huskers and entered the portal at the end of the season.

Now, Purdy is on his way to San Jose State and the Mountain West Conference. The QB revealed his commitment Sunday evening:

The move is an interesting one for the Purdy family. Brock, as the starter for the 49ers, plays his home games at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, a venue just north of San Jose. The move will put the brothers in the same vicinity for 2024 while Chubba gets a chance to continue his college career.
