There has not been much hope this season for Nebraska, at least in college football.

At the professional level, there have been Huskers playing at a high level.

That is no different in Week 6. Former Husker DE Randy Gregory earned national honors for his play against the Patriots.

The Cowboys DE earned PFF’S Defensive Player of the Week.

Gregory against the Patriots had 3 total tackles, 2 sacks, and a tackle for loss.

This season for the Cowboys, Gregory has played in 5 games for the Cowboys; he has recorded 5 tackles, 4 sacks and a forced fumble.

In his career with the Cowboys, Gregory has played in 43 games and has recorded 54 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles.

The Cowboys are 5-1 heading into their bye week; their only loss is against reigning Super Bowl Champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

They have wins over the Chargers, Eagles, Panthers, Giants and Patriots.

They are at the top of the NFC East and look like a Super Bowl contender in the early part of the NFL season.

The Cowboys next play on Halloween at the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 ET.
