Former Nebraska wide receiver Jaylen Lloyd is moving on. After entering the transfer portal following the end of the bowl game, Lloyd confirmed on social media that his next step is taking him to Oklahoma State.

Lloyd leaves Lincoln after appearing in 23 career games across his first 2 seasons with the Huskers.

Coming out of Omaha’s Westside High School, Lloyd was a 3-star recruit and the No. 9 in-state prospect for the 2023 recruiting class per the 247 Sports Composite. After some injuries in the wide receiver room, Lloyd had an instant impact as a true freshman.

Though recording just 6 catches, Lloyd registered 237 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. His scoring catches went for 73, 58 and 66 yards as a freshman.

Lloyd was still a big-play threat as a sophomore and added 13 catches for 255 yards but did not record a touchdown grab. Unfortunately, he had just 3 catches for 39 yards across the final 5 games of the season.

Head coach Matt Rhule did his best to prepare fans for what is expected to be a wild offseason of player movement in the portal. Lloyd is 1 of 26 players to enter the portal, including fellow WRs Malachi Coleman, Dae’vonn Hall and Isaiah McMorris.
