Wan’Dale Robinson, the electric playmaker of the Huskers, has confirmed his next destination will be in the SEC.

The former four-star prospect out of Kentucky is returning home, revealing Friday morning that he is transferring to the Wildcats. That destination was expected though some reports had Jeff Brohm’s Purdue squad making a push to land Robinson.

It is a tough blow to Nebraska who lost JD Spielman to transfer following 2019 and now lose Robinson following 2020. Robinson did indicate upon his entry to the transfer portal that his reasons for leaving the program relate to his mother’s health and being away from her during the season.

Robinson had over 700 yards from scrimmage in 2020 and was the team’s leading receiver with 51 catches for 461 yards and a touchdown. He finishes his time at Nebraska with 1,494 yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns in two seasons. He was the highest-rated recruit from Nebraska’s 2019 recruiting class.

It is never easy to see a star player depart, but best of luck to Robinson and his family as he makes the move to Kentucky.
