R.J. Young is one of the latest people to suggest who should be the next head coach at Nebraska. His list is interesting to say the least.
Nebraska fired Scott Frost on Sunday after he lost to Georgia Southern just one day before. Nebraska WR coach Mickey Joseph will be the team’s interim HC until further notice, but will also be considered for the job.
Joseph is the first coach on his list. Texas assistant Gary Patterson, Wisconsin DC Jim Leonhard, Jackson State’s Deion Sanders, and Ohio State DL coach Larry Johnson are the rest of his choices.
Nebraska has a big hire to make at Head Coach ahead of them 👀

Joseph will have a pretty good first test in his debut as interim coach with Oklahoma next up on the schedule. The 6th-ranked Sooners are traveling to Lincoln after playing the Huskers last season.
Nebraska came close to upsetting Oklahoma last season, and lost 23-16 in Norman.
That game kicks off at noon ET on FOX on Sept. 17.
