Fred Hoiberg understands that his team needs to produce better on the court. Hoiberg talked about how his team is looking before the season opener.

Nebraska won just 10 games just a season ago. Hoiberg noted how this season the team needs to show some growth as a whole.

“I know it’s a huge year,” Hoiberg said candidly on Friday. “It’s a huge year for me, it’s a huge year for all of us to go out there and show significant progress and play the right way. From what I’ve seen with this group, I’m confident we will do that.”

While talking about doing it is great, fans will most likely want Hoiberg to prove it before they’re convinced. The last time that the Huskers finished with a winning record was the 2018 season.

Fans will finally get to see the improved product that Hoiberg has to offer on Nov. 7. Nebraska faces Maine to open the year at 8 p.m. ET.

A channel for the game hasn’t been announced yet.
