Fred Hoiberg has a lot of things to feel proud of in regards to his basketball team. Hoiberg discussed those things and more at the post game presser following the win over Creighton.

Hoiberg knew that a hot start to the road game would really set the tone. Nebraska shocked the No. 7 Bluejays in Omaha with a 63-53 loss. Hoiberg has been really pleased with how Nebraska has played in the 2nd half as of late.

“We knew that if we could get off to a good start and find a way to steal one like this on the road, that would be huge to set the tone and give us confidence moving forward. The thing I’ve been really pleased with the last two games is how well we came out and played in the second half.”

Nebraska went into halftime only up 25-23 and used a solid 2nd half to close the door on Creighton.

This is a great win for Hoiberg and the program, but Nebraska will need to move on and start preparing for Indiana and Purdue next. The Huskers face them in back-to-back games.

Nebraska hoops plays Indiana next on Dec. 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET on BTN. The road is only going to get tougher for the Huskers.
