Fred Hoiberg notes improvements needed to be made following loss to Oklahoma
Fred Hoiberg highlighted some of the things the Huskers could have done better to get a win ollowing Nebraska’s 69-56 loss to Oklahoma.
One of the main issues Hoiberg found was a slow start. Oklahoma got off to a quick start, allowing it to gain an early lead. Then in the second half, it came down to converting open shots.
“We got off to a great start scoring the ball … and then (Oklahoma) got hot and opened it up a little bit,” Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg said during the Huskers Radio Network postgame show. “I thought in the second half we got better looks than in the first half. We just couldn’t convert. We missed a couple right at the rim and missed a couple wide-open 3s. Got to find a way to convert those.”
Nebraska now shifts gears to take on Memphis in the ESPN Events Invitational. The Huskers take on the Tigers Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN News.
