Nebraska’s depth will take a hit as coach Fred Hoiberg announced freshman forward Wilhelm Breidenbach will be absent for an extended period of time with an undisclosed injury.

The 6-foot-10, 227-pound Breidenbach has been a key piece for the Cornhuskers, averaging 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds off the bench, with appearances in all 10 contests.

The California native tallied 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in Nebraska’s most recent contest, a 102-67 loss to Michigan on Dec. 7.

Nebraska is 5-5 overall and 13th place in the B1G. The Cornhuskers will take on No. 18 Auburn on Dec. 11 (11:30 a.m. EST/ESPN2).
