Nebraskans were ready to push the capacity limits at Memorial Stadium again. The Huskers might not have been on the field, but plenty from throughout the state showed up at one of the B1G’s most intimidating football environments Saturday night.
Country music legend Garth Brooks was on the stage Saturday night, providing one of the most normal nights the state of Nebraska has experienced in quite some time. By the photos and videos out of Lincoln, you can tell they didn’t need any nudging to pack the house again.

That’s a preview of what Memorial Stadium will look like in a few weeks when Nebraska’s football team is back on the field. One of the most passionate fanbases in college football is ready to unleash.
The Huskers will start the 2021 campaign on the road, traveling to Champaign to play Illinois. The following week, Nebraska returns home to play FCS foe Fordham for the first home game of the year.
Expect to see similar images from Lincoln on Saturday, Sept. 4.
