PHOTO: ESPN trolls Nebraska with Melvin Gordon graphic
It hasn’t been the rookie season many expected out of Melvin Gordon.
The former Wisconsin tailback hasn’t reached pay dirt once in his NFL career, nor does he have a 100-yard game yet. He’s also fumbled four times and has been out-played by Danny Woodhead. It’s too early for the first-round pick to be labeled a bust, but he hasn’t lived up to his lofty expectations.
Part of the reason Gordon set the bar so high for himself was because of his monster games in B1G play last year, in particularly the time he torched Nebraska for a school-record 408 yards and four touchdowns.
In fact, that’s more production than Gordon has in eight NFL games to start his career. ESPN took the liberty of reminding Nebraska fans everywhere of that nightmare game nearly one year ago.

For the record, Gordon did pick up enough yards after said graphic was shown to get him over the 408-mark. But he is still searching for that first touchdown.
Don’t worry, we’ll have video of it if and when it happens.
