Greg McElroy is gearing up for the 2023 college football season as talking season ensues across the country. ACC joins the fray with the conference’s “Football Kickoff” on Tuesday while the B1G hits Indianapolis on Wednesday for Media Days.

During his most recent episode of the “Always College Football Podcast,” McElroy was asked which new coach in the B1G he most wants to hear from this week. He admitted it is Nebraska’s Matt Rhule while providing insight on the question he would like to ask the head coach of the Huskers.

McElroy is particularly interested to know what changed between Rhule initially turning down the job at Nebraska and eventually accepting the offer:

What I think I would ask Matt Rhule is hey man, you turned down this job. They offered it to you and you turned it down and said ‘No I’m good. Thank you for your interest, I’m humbled and honored but it’s not the right time for me.’ What changed? What did they do to sweeten the deal? What commitments did they make to the football program that led to you changing your mind so drastically?

We’ll see what Rhule does have to say at B1G Media Days, but fans will have to wait a bit longer. He is scheduled to take the podium on Thursday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
