Heated: Nebraska's Cam Taylor-Britt exchanges words with Illinois players after season opener
Cornhuskers cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was emotional after his team’s loss to Illinois on Saturday.
While the teams were on their way to their respective locker rooms, Taylor-Britt started jawing with Illinois players as his teammates had to pull him back.

Taylor-Britt finished the game with 2 tackles but was beaten in coverage several times throughout the game as Illinois quarterback Artur Sitkowski kept targeting him.
He’s usually one of the Cornhuskers best players in the secondary as he finished with 28 total tackles (23 solo) for the 2020 season, along with 2 interceptions and 4 passes defended.
Taylor-Britt’s stats the season before (2019) were even better as he finished with 49 total tackles (29 solo) with 3 interceptions and 3 passes defended.
We’ll have to see if he can keep his temper down a bit next Saturday when Nebraska welcomes Fordham to Lincoln for their home opener. Kickoff will be at Noon ET.
