Football returned to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on Saturday afternoon. Nebraska closed out its spring practice schedule with its annual Red and White Game.

Nebraska was short on players this season as several sat out because of injuries and others saw limited action in an attempt to keep guys healthy for summer and fall. Still, there was an emphasis on correcting the mistakes that plagues the Huskers a year ago.

There were some big catches, great runs and big defensive plays throughout Saturday’s game. There were also plenty of great player and coach interviews.

Below are some of the highlights from Saturday afternoon in Lincoln:

Nebraska is coming off a 3-9 campaign in 2021 and is looking to bounce back in a big way. Scott Frost made some major changes to his coaching staff and brought in a number of players through the NCAA transfer portal.

The Huskers open the 2022 season in Ireland against B1G West foe Northwestern in Week 0.
