Nebraska got the roughest draw in the B1G with the new schedule for the 2020 season. Yes, it’s the B1G, so there are no particularly easy games, but matching up with Ohio State in the opener is as tough of a challenge as it gets.

Adrian Martinez is approaching the game the right way, though. He and his teammates consider themselves fortunate to be able to take on the reigning conference champions to open the 2020 campaign.

“We love it. That’s part of the reason I came to Nebraska, it’s part of the reason why the rest of these guys did,” Martinez said in a Big Ten Network interview. “Week in and week out you’re gonna play solid opponents. How lucky are we, we get to play Ohio State Week 1? I’m pumped and I know our guys are. And we’re gonna make the most of the opportunity at the end of the day.”

Nebraska travels to Columbus for the Oct. 24 showdown, a game set for 12 p.m. ET.

The Huskers were competitive in their last visit to Ohio Stadium, falling 36-31 to the Buckeyes in 2018. However, last year’s game was much different in Lincoln, as Ohio State pounded Nebraska 48-7 at Memorial Stadium.
