The NFL Draft saw just 2 players get drafted out of Nebraska in 2023: wide receiver Trey Palmer and outside linebacker Ochaun Mathis, both in the 6th round.

In the hours after the draft’s conclusion, several former Nebraska standouts signed undrafted free agent deals (UDFA). Below is a list of the 4 Huskers that went undrafted as of 4 p.m. ET Sunday, April 30.

  • Travis Vokolek, Baltimore Ravens
  • Garrett Nelson, Miami Dolphins
  • Caleb Tannor, New York Jets
  • Brady Weas, Houston Texans

None of the 4 are surprise undrafted targets. Vokolek especially had a stout year in 2022, totaling 240 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns; strong numbers for a college tight end. And that’s with 2 games missed due to injury. He could make the climb up the depth chart with Mark Andrews as a top-notch mentor.

Nebraska has not had the best luck in the draft in recent years, but there’s hope that the introduction of Matt Rhule can change things.
