A Nebraska wideout transfer reached a decision on what school he’ll be playing for this upcoming season. He spent just one season with Nebraska before entering the transfer portal.

Victor Jones Jr. announced via his Twitter account that he committed to Liberty Football on Sunday. Jones did not play in a game for the Huskers this past season after redshirting.

Jones was a former 3-star WR out of the 2022 class per the 247Sports Composite. There was only one other B1G school to send Jones an offer and it was Maryland. Jones picked the Huskers over Cincinatti, FIU, Arkansas, and Buffalo.

Jones was rated as the No. 97 WR and No. 96 prospect from his home state of Florida in his class. He attended Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida.

Former Coastal Carolina HC Jamey Chadwell will be the head man for the Flames in 2023. Chadwell spent 2017-2022 with the Chanticleers. Chadwell was the interim coach during the 2017 season, before becoming the full-time coach in 2019.

Coastal Carolina and Nebraska had two different seasons.

The Chanticleers finished at 9-3 and reached the Birmingham Bowl. Nebraska fired former HC Scott Frost halfway through the year and was led by interim coach Mickey Joseph. The Huskers won four games in 2022.
