Injury updates on Adrian Martinez, JD Spielman ahead of Nebraska-Minnesota matchup
Facing the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a B1G West showdown at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the path to an upset for Nebraska looks like it will not include sophomore quarterback Adrian Martinez.
Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald shared that Martinez is not in uniform on the field pregame:

Suffering a leg injury in Nebraska’s 13-10 victory over Northwestern on October 5, Martinez has started each of the team’s six games this season.
Set to make his first career start, redshirt sophomore Noah Vedral will take Martinez’s place.
On the bright side for Nebraska, one of the team’s most explosive playmakers, redshirt junior wide receiver JD Spielman, will give it a go.
Nebraska WR JD Spielman appears good to go. All suited up.

Catching 21 passes for 409 yards and a touchdown this season, Spielman has been battling a leg injury of his own. After recording 159 yards on seven receptions in the win over Illinois on September 21, he has just three catches for 26 yards in Nebraska’s last two games.
Nebraska (4-2) at Minnesota (5-0) will kick at 7:30PM ET and will air on FS1.
