Jaz Shelley drains halfcourt buzzer beater for Nebraska in NIT opener vs. Missouri State

Jaz Shelley provided some fireworks for Nebraska Wednesday night as the Huskers look to start their NIT journey with a bang.
Facing Missouri State, Nebraska held a 35-32 lead with just a few seconds remaining in the second quarter. Shelley took an inbounds pass and knew all she would be able to get off was a heave from halfcourt.
She let the ball fly at the buzzer, but Shelley’s heave was perfect the entire way. Check it out:

Nebraska entered the WNIT after going 16-14 overall in the regular season. The Huskers are playing at home for their first game in Group 3 and would advance to face the winner of Northern Iowa vs. Colorado State in the second round.
